Anxiety & Depression

Kate Devereux Therapist
  • Kate Devereux BSc (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy, MNCPS Acc.

Hi, my name is Kate and I hold a Counselling and Psychotherapy BSc (Hons) which includes Couple’s & Family Systems therapy.

I offer a non-judgemental space for you to unpack your troubles; honouring the trust you have placed in me to maintain confidentiality and safety.

We have four core emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, and Sadness.

When we experience anxiety, we are in our fear.

When we experience depression, we are in our sadness.

Studies indicate that anxiety is the most commonly reported emotional condition for which people seek support, often rooted in trauma—whether significant or seemingly minor. While fear is an essential human emotion, it can also create a sense of stuckness that may lead to feelings of sadness. To effectively address our fear and sadness, we must harness the energy of healthy anger, which can help shift our internal judgments and beliefs.

In therapy, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can cultivate self-nurture and self-love. Together, we will explore the life-limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. By encouraging you to voice the unspoken and express the unexpressed, we can enhance your self-awareness and emotional understanding.

This process is vital for breaking free from the patterns that contribute to anxiety and depression. Through our work together, you will gain valuable insights into your emotions and learn to navigate them more effectively. Ultimately, my aim is to empower you to embrace your feelings and foster a healthier relationship with yourself, enabling you to move forward with confidence and resilience.
