Therapy for Children & Teenagers

Rachel Hatten Therapist
  • Rachel Hatten, FdA in Therapeutic Counselling, MBACP
Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People. Ages 11+

Hi, my name is Rachel. I currently work as a counsellor for a children and young people’s charity, where I support clients to navigate the challenges of life and the impact their experiences have had on them. Common issues that I see in my practice are things such as Anxiety, Depression, Eating Difficulties, Body image, Low Self Esteem, Relationship problems, School refusal and Phobias.

I am an integrative therapist which means that I draw on different therapeutic approaches to best meet the needs of my clients. Some will value the space to be creative while others may respond well to a more structured approach such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Adolescence can be a tricky time. Young people will experience many developmental changes as well as striving for independence and a sense of their own identity.

I offer a safe and non-judgemental space for us to explore and gain understanding of what they are experiencing, as well as offering tools and strategies to help them feel equipped and resilient.
